We'd like to invite you....
Wednesday, March 15th
a night of prayer, pizza and people

(can anyone come up with a better catch line for that?)

Okay, first the invitation... then our reasons why...

To any who are able to join us. Come. Bring your favorite pizza and some kind of drink (to all be shared) and we'd love to just spend the evening together...praying. Praying for our trip, praying for our kids on this trip, praying for this journey we find ourselves on... and praying for all the ways God has been speaking into your life too because ours isn't the only inside-out journey taking place. I'm sure there will be plenty of eating and snuggling on couches and listening to stories and saying our temporary goodbyes too.

From the very beginning of this journey, our prayer was that we wouldn't be doing this alone. We truly believe that life is meant to be lived in community... we need each other. That was one of our primary reasons for opening up this cyber-conversation.
To include you.

God has gifted us so very beautifully with people who share our heart. Yes, there are people who share our heart for Africa, poverty, the AIDS crisis and injustice... but more significantly, people who are learning, like we are, to be truly living out of their own calling. Learning to figure out what that voice of God actually sounds like. Taking steps forward in a direction, even when it doesn't make sense, because you somehow, just know you have to... and then realizing that, even though you are occasionally confused and even terrified... you have never been more ALIVE and you can't imagine being anyplace else.
Many of you have shared your stories with us... ah, that has been our pure joy. Some of you have been peeking in on our story through this forum, or in our letters, but we haven't heard from you yet.
You are all a part of this.

And we are glad.

So, whether there are two people here, or twenty, this is our dream...
... and just so you know...
...the pizza the DiCocco's will bring to share will be all cheese.
(and at least one of them will have a gluten free crust)
